Carbeen Park in the Northern Territory (NT) has been sold to Heytesbury Pastoral Company for a total of $12.8 million. The property, which spans 7,390 hectares, includes a 750-megalitre water extraction licence from the Katherine River. According to the advertisement, Carbeen Park boasts prime agricultural land with quality river levee soils that are suitable for various uses such as horticulture, cropping, hay production, and pasture.
The sale price of $12.8 million is significantly higher than what Carbeen Park was sold for in 2021, which was $4 million less at $8.8 million.
With this purchase, Heytesbury Pastoral Company has added another impressive property to its portfolio. The company’s acquisition of Carbeen Park will likely further enhance its operations and contribute to the NT’s agricultural industry.
According to a real estate agent, the new owners are planning to take over the property as soon as this week. This move is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, particularly in terms of job creation and economic growth.
