Tiger Woods’ Teenage Son Makes Hole-in-One in Thrilling Tournament Finale
Tiger Woods’ 15-year-old son Charlie achieved his first hole-in-one during the final round of the PNC Championship, but it wasn’t enough to secure their team’s victory.
Charlie’s impressive shot on the par-three fourth hole sent his father-son team into the lead at the tournament, which features 20 major champions playing with a member of their family. The tournament concluded in a play-off between Team Langer and another competitor, with Team Langer ultimately emerging as winners.
For Charlie, the experience was exhilarating. “It was awesome,” he said. “No one made a mistake today, so that was some of the most fun I’ve ever had.” He added, “On top of that, I made an ace. I don’t think I can top that.”
Tiger Woods, who returned to competition after back surgery in September, expressed pride in his team’s performance and the joy of spending time with his son. “And that’s the whole joy of it, is to be out here with family and bonding and just the enjoyment of each other’s company,” he said.
Other young golfers also made a significant impact on the tournament. Paddy Harrington, 21 and son of three-time major winner Padraig Harrington, achieved his first career hole-in-one on the eighth hole, just 30 minutes after Charlie’s impressive shot.
The tournament showcased the next generation of golf talent, with several young players making their mark in the competitive field.
