Krispy Kreme Brings Back Strawberry Iced Doughnut for Easter — and Introduces 3 New Bunny Treats!
The doughnut brand is launching a Hoppy Easter Collection featuring three new items and one returning fan favorite. Krispy Kreme is celebrating Easter with a brand-new collection of bunny-themed treats, including the ‘Strawberry Iced Doughnut with Sprinkles’.
Krispy Kreme is a global doughnut company founded in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 1937 by Vernon Rudolph.
The original recipe for the signature glazed doughnut was developed by Rudolph's uncle, Joe LeBeau.
In the early years, Krispy Kreme doughnuts were sold through a hole-in-the-wall storefront and by mail order.
The company began expanding rapidly in the 1990s, with the first drive-thru location opening in 2000.
Today, Krispy Kreme has over 1,400 locations in more than 40 countries worldwide.
New Springtime Favorites
This year’s ‘Hoppy Easter Collection’ includes four new items, all designed to bring joy to children and adults alike. The ‘Strawberry Iced Doughnut with Sprinkles’ is a fan favorite that has made a comeback, featuring Krispy Kreme’s original glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry flavored icing and pastel sprinkles.
In addition to the Strawberry Iced Doughnut, the collection also introduces three new bunny-themed treats: the ‘Bunny Basket Doughnut’, the ‘Marshmallow Bunny Doughnut’, and the ‘Bouncing Bunny Doughnut’. The ‘Bunny Basket Doughnut’ is another glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, decorated with chocolate flavored buttercream, and topped with a confectionery bunny. The ‘Marshmallow Bunny Doughnut’ features an unglazed shell doughnut filled with marshmallow flavored Kreme, dipped in pastel yellow icing, and topped with a bunny face and confectionery ears.

Krispy Kreme's Easter collection is a beloved tradition for many.
Each year, the bakery, releases limited-edition doughnuts and treats in pastel colors and festive shapes.
The collection typically includes flavors like strawberry, blueberry, and lemon, as well as seasonal favorites like the 'Easter Egg' doughnut.
According to Krispy Kreme's sales data, their Easter collection generates over 20% of their annual revenue.
The collection is usually available from late March to early May.
The ‘Bouncing Bunny Doughnut’ is a glazed doughnut dipped in pastel blue icing and sprinkles, and topped with a ‘bouncing bunny’ design. According to Krispy Kreme, the Easter menu has something delicious for ‘everybunny‘.
Bouncing Bunny doughnuts are a type of novelty dessert that has gained popularity in recent years.
These doughnuts are made with a special type of yeast that gives them a unique texture, allowing them to 'bounce' when dropped.
The exact composition and production process of Bouncing Bunny doughnuts remain proprietary information, but they are often infused with flavors like strawberry or chocolate.
According to market research, the global novelty dessert market is expected to grow by 10% annually from 2023 to 2025.
Limited-Time Offerings
For the holiday season, Krispy Kreme will also be packaging doughnuts in a custom Easter dozens box beginning on Wednesday for a limited time at participating shops. This special offering is available exclusively in-store and through Krispy Kreme’s app and website.
