Born Alfredo Fiorito in Argentina in 1953, Alfredo emigrated to Paris, Madrid, and eventually Ibiza, where he lived a casual existence selling candles and clothes while honing his DJ skills at a local bar. His residency at Amnesia, which began in the late 1980s, was characterized by a complete lack of snobbery and an open-minded approach to music, blending genres from soft rock to reggae, disco, funk, electro, and early house.

A group of young British DJs – Danny Rampling, Paul Oakenfold, Nicky Holloway, and Johnny Walker – had a transformative experience witnessing Alfredo perform at Amnesia in the late 1980s. Ibiza would not be the same without him.” Vocalist Rowetta added, “He was a legend when I first played [Ibiza nightclub] KU in 1990 & he always will be.”
