As the delivery contract between UPS and USPS expires, package deliveries across America are undergoing significant changes. Customers with post office boxes will now need to ship packages directly to a UPS location or their address.
Changes to UPS Package Deliveries Across the Country

Impact on P.O. Box Holders
For customers who have a post office box at the U.S. Postal Service, this change means they will now need to ship their packages directly to a UPS location or to their address. The U.S. Postal Service is the only carrier permitted to deliver to post office boxes, Army posts, and Navy fleets.

Some customers have expressed concerns about not being notified about the change ahead of time. Pam Loeb, who lives in Shelburne, Vermont, said she is jumping through hoops to collect things she ordered online. “I just am concerned,” she said. “We’ve got economic issues in our country, and there’s a lot of people who… have a lot of small businesses, and I worry that it’s going to affect, on a sort of a global scale, both buyers and sellers.”
UPS Response
According to UPS, if someone does not have a valid street address, their best option is to use UPS store mailboxes to get their packages safely.
