As an arctic front approaches South Texas, several school districts have announced closures for Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service Corpus Christi, a winter storm warning has been issued for all of South Texas except the barrier islands from Monday night into Tuesday.
The weather service forecasts a low of 29 degrees on Monday night with a 90% chance of precipitation. Less than 0.1 inch of ice accumulation is possible. On Tuesday, a high near 37 and a low around 22 are expected, with wind gusts as high as 21 mph.
