Apple’s Battery Beast
The iPhone 16 Plus is a larger version of the regular iPhone, featuring a bigger screen and a more substantial battery.
Design and Display
The iPhone 16 Plus has a bright and crisp 6.7in display, similar to its predecessor. It maintains the slower 60Hz refresh rate, which may make it less smooth when scrolling compared to Pro iPhones and rivals. However, it still looks good for film and TV shows on the commute.
Performance and Battery Life
The iPhone 16 Plus is powered by Apple’s A18 chip, providing increased power efficiency. This results in tremendous battery life, lasting almost 72 hours of general use between charges, including a mix of 5G and wifi while actively using the screen for nine hours. Heavy use entirely on 5G can still last up to two days.
Camera
The dual camera system on the back is the same as the regular iPhone 16. It features faster versions of its 48MP main and 12MP ultrawide cameras, making a difference with motion and in low-light environments. The camera control button allows one-finger access to exposure, depth, zoom, cameras, styles, tone, and the shutter.
Price
The iPhone 16 Plus costs from £899 (€1,099/$899/A$1,599), making it more affordable than the most expensive 16 Pro Max.
