The FSB claimed that the British diplomat intentionally provided false information when applying for entry into Russia,

thereby violating Russian law. This accusation led to the expulsion of the diplomat.

The UK government denied these allegations as “baseless” and stated they would respond in due course.

They emphasized their commitment to protecting national interests and supporting UK interests through their embassy in Moscow.
